Our History

Kookai has over 25 years of heritage as a fashion brand. From its origins in the early 1980s, Kookai has been known for its unique personality, exemplified through its advertising. Focusing initially on ‘spirited and impertinent’ teenagers in the 1980s, through increasingly shock oriented campaigns during the 1990s, to its current position in contemporary fashion.

Kookai prides itself on creating fashionable garments that exude timeless chic. Each piece has its own personality, with the brand's Parisian designers focusing on the smallest details, and using only quality fabrics and finishes to ensure each garment is elegant and refined. Kookai strives to marry the brand's sense of fun and energy with its own interpretation of emerging trends.
